Persons entitled to challenge traffic violations

Here we report the bodies listed in Art. 12 of the Highway Code, which may challenge any infringement of the highway code are:

- primarily, Traffic Police of the State Police;

- Police State;

- Carabinieri;

- body of the financial police;

- bodies and provincial police services within the territory of competence;

- bodies and municipal police services within the area of \u200b\u200bjurisdiction;

- Interior Ministry official assigned to the police service road

- Police Service Prison and the State Forestry Corps.

Inoltre, e come previsto dai commi 132 e 133 dell'art. 17 della Legge 15 Maggio 1997, n. 127, i comuni possono con provvedimento del sindaco conferire:

- funzioni di prevenzione e accertamento delle violazioni in materia di sosta a dipendenti comunali o  delle società di gestione dei parcheggi, limitatamente alle aree oggetto di concessione;

- funzioni di prevenzione e accertamento in materia di circolazione e sosta sulle corsie riservate al trasporto pubblico al personale ispettivo delle aziende esercenti il trasporto pubblico.
