Sunday, June 28, 2009, IN3RYE (Joseph) went to the Top of Cows (Karkofel) to relate to the team, " 59più20 " from this rope SOTA (BZ 037). After leaving the car Falzeben / Avelengo (m. 1610), has started to increase to 7.20 for the forest road nr. 51 with his father IN3RYV (Sergio).
After about half an hour and slightly downhill past a small bridge, the road begins to climb steeply and after about 20 minutes to get to the hut Moschwald. From here continue
the forest road 15, past the hut and getting to Kreuzjoechl Maia.
Turn right (toward the stone cairns and Sarnthein) taking the European path nr. 5 to achieve a beautiful cross with bench (m. 2060).
Finally, turn left, arriving about 20 minutes on the top of Karkofel - Top of cows at a height of mt. 2114.
Regarding the ' radio activity, IN3RYE was able to put a log many stations, working on 15, 20 and 40 meters with two QRP Watt . as there was a contest in Spain.
Towards the end, to prove up to what could go down with the power, has fallen to 1 Watt made 4 QSO, dropping still half a watt, still managed to make two other QSOs, also helped by a good spread. A total of 44
QSO in QRP!
SOTA This peak had already been activated by IN3RYE last year in winter in 144 Mhz and wanted to do it again in the summer in HF.
